Every Democrat in Travis County can help shape our party’s platform at the March 21 Travis County Democratic Party Convention starting at 9:00 am at Austin High School, 1715 Cesar Chavez St., Austin. This gathering gives local Democrats a voice in defining our shared priorities and submitting resolutions on issues that matter to you. In addition, attendees will learn firsthand the resources and tools for successful grassroots organizing and activism.

 

The convention brings together community members, Democratic candidates and other speakers in addition to offering workshops that prepare volunteers for the 2026 general election. This meeting lies at the heart of our democratic process, providing a home for fellow Democrats to connect, elevate concerns and learn how to strengthen Democratic organizing efforts and participation across Travis County. In 2025, millions of Americans came together in nonviolent protest to oppose the growing authoritarian actions of the Trump administration and affirm that this nation belongs to its people, not to kings. Since then, people have continued to rise up nonviolently against the Trump administration’s ongoing brutality and abuses of power, including the latest escalation in Minnesota. The No Kings Coalition is activating an immediate and ongoing nationwide digital organizing effort
