Register Voters!

Call to Action!!! Help the people that are new to the area or who just became old enough to vote by assisting with voter registration. Volunteers will meet for training and be given a list of potentially unregistered voters in your neighborhood. Although Texas does not have online voter registration, you can two apps, “MapTheVote" and “RegisterToVote”, to identify and assist eligible voters to obtain their application to vote in the mail. “Register to Vote” allows folks to sign up for a pre-filled form to be mailed to them. MapTheVote allows you to identify households in your neighborhood where there might be eligible voters who are not yet registered to vote. You will receive training and then go by yourself or with a friend and talk to your neighbors. You do not have to be a Deputy Volunteer Registrar to use MapTheVote. If you do happen to be a VDR, all the better. Date and time for training and the call to Action will be announced soon.
